Case Study Showcase

Findings from the case studies carried out as part of the NIHR funded ePrescribing Research Programme, that investigated the implementation, adoption and effectiveness of ePrescribing in English hospitals, can be accessed from here.  The programme ran from 2011 to 2017. The case studies offer insights into a hospital’s experience of implementing an ePrescribing system and are based on extensive interviews with pharmacists, nurses, doctors, AHPs, IT and ePrescribing implementation teams. Click on the links to the case study sites to read more about the issues, challenges and lessons learnt in five different hospitals across England.
